Lisle, Ill, April 29, 2015—Leslie Rippley, an insurance professional with more than 25 years’ experience, nearly all of it with major carriers, is the new vice president of commercial lines for the American Association of Insurance Services (AAIS).
AAIS is a national property/casualty advisory organization that provides policy forms, rating information, and automation support used by more than 700 P/C insurers throughout the U.S.
AAIS maintains forms and manuals for more than 25 programs of personal, commercial, agricultural, and inland marine insurance. It also maintains the AAIS Underwriting Platform, a cloud-based application for underwriting and rating policies based on AAIS programs.
Rippley comes to AAIS from Fireman’s Fund Ins. Co., where she had been commercial lines vice president and western zone leader based in the company’s Chicago office since July 2012. In that capacity, she had been responsible for field underwriting operations for small business, middle market, admitted excess, and highly-protected risks in the largest grossing revenue zone in the company.
Previously, she held positions of increasing responsibility at The Hanover, General Casualty, Crum & Forster, The Hartford, Liberty Mutual/Wausau, and Travelers.
Rippley earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing education from Bowling Green State University in Toledo, Ohio. She also holds designations as a Certified Insurance Counselor and Associate in Underwriting.
“I am thrilled to be joining the fantastic leadership team Ed Kelly has built at AAIS,” Leslie says. “I look forward to working with our member companies, revitalizing our commercial lines and farm and ag programs, building on AAIS’s strong reputation, and providing greater value for our industry.”
