Edmund J. Kelly

Before being chosen AAIS president in 2012, Ed had numerous years of executive experience in organizations that developed product platforms for property and liability lines.
Among other things, he served seven years as president and COO of an organization that developed one of the first programs allowing insurers to write wind-only coverage. He was also an executive for a specialty division of Royal Sun Alliance that developed and maintained an industry-leading professional liability program for architects and engineers.
Prior to his insurance career, Ed worked 11 years as a senior manager for Ernst & Young; he is a certified public accountant with bachelor's and master's degrees from DePaul University.

Before coming to AAIS in 2012, Joan worked for several organizations in information technology positions, including more than eight years as CIO of ICAT Holdings LLC, a catastrophe insurance intermediary. Her work at ICAT earned Joan recognition in 2006 as one of the insurance industry’s “Elite 8” technology professionals by Insurance & Technology magazine.
Prior to her years at ICAT, Joan spent more than 13 years in information technology positions with the University of California system. Her work there included projects that contributed to the initial public access to the Internet and to the digitalization of the university's library system.
Joan has a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from the University of California-Davis, and an MBA with an emphasis in business information systems from CSU-Sacramento.

Mike has more than 20 years of experience in corporate financial planning and analysis, accounting and auditing. Before joining AAIS in 2013, Mike led accounting and finance teams primarily in large publicly-traded manufacturing organizations.

Robin Westcott, J.D.
vice president of government affairs
Robin is an attorney who spent more than 19 years in insurance-related regulatory positions in Florida, most recently as the state’s consumer insurance advocate, before joining AAIS in 2013.
In her current role, Robin oversees AAIS's product compliance operations and consults with state insurance departments about the practical implications of regulatory initiatives.
INLAND MARINE AND OUTPUT PROGRAMS

has been with AAIS since 1992, and also has 18 years of experience as an inland marine manager at the branch, regional, and home office level for CNA and Zurich American.
During his years at AAIS, Bob has been the principal developer of the AAIS Commercial Output Program and the Inland Marine Guide.
Bob has been invited to speak at numerous industry meetings, and served for several years as a member of the legislative and regulatory affairs committee of the Inland Marine Underwriters Association (IMUA). He is a graduate of Hillsdale College in Michigan.
John Kadous, CPCU, CPM

Before coming to AAIS in March 2014, John had more than 26 years of experience in insurance, including 13 years with GEICO and nearly 12 years as an underwriting and product management director with USAA.
John earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa and an MBA from Regis University. He holds a designation as a certified product manager from the Association of International Product Marketing and Management, as well as his CPCU designation.

Sue has been with AAIS since 1992, and since that time has been the principal developer of the AAIS Homeowners forms. Her principal concentration continues to be the development and maintenance of AAIS personal lines policy forms and endorsements.
Sue has a bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University, and worked 15 years for the St. Paul Companies, an independent agency, and USF&G before coming to AAIS.
COMMERCIAL AND AGRICULTURAL LINES
Leslie Rippley, CIC, AU
vice president, commercial and agricultural lines
Leslie came to AAIS in 2015 from Fireman’s Fund, where she had been commercial lines vice president and western zone leader in the company’s Chicago office. Previously, she held positions of increasing responsibility at The Hanover, General Casualty, Crum & Forster, The Hartford, Liberty Mutual/Wausau, and Travelers.
Leslie earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing education from Bowling Green State University in Toledo, Ohio. She has earned the designations of Certified Insurance Counselor and Associate in Underwriting.
Robin Souza, CPCU, AFIS
product manager, farm and agribusiness
Robin came to AAIS in 2015 from ACE Agribusiness, and previously served in agricultural insurance underwriting, loss control, and management positions with The Hartford, Commercial Union, CalFarm/Allied/Nationwide, Sequoia Ins. Co., and QBE.
Robin holds numerous insurance designations, including those as Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist (AFIS). She also teaches for the AFIS program, and has authored its “farm foundations” course.
Rich Yocius, FCAS, MAAA, CPCU
vice president, actuarial services & chief actuary
Rich has more than 30 years of experience in various actuarial and product management roles. As chief actuary, he has led the expansion of AAIS’s actuarial capabilities and reorganization of AAIS’s actuarial operations.
Before joining AAIS in February 2014, Rich was managing vice president and chief actuary for personal lines for Tower Group Companies. Prior to that, he was vice president of analytics for Allstate, leading the ratemaking functions for commercial, specialty personal, and independent agent homeowners and automobile lines of insurance. He started his career at Nationwide in 1984.
Jarrett Cabell, FCAS, MAAA
Jarrett held positions in pricing and reserving with Zurich, Allstate, Midwest Employers, and CNA before coming to AAIS in 2013. At AAIS, he concentrates on commercial lines pricing.
Jarrett has a degree in mathematics from Washington University in St. Louis.
Michelle Cui, FCAS, MAAA
Michelle came from Zurich North America to join AAIS in September 2014. Previously, she held several positions in personal lines pricing and predictive modeling at Allstate.
Michelle earned her bachelor's degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in her native China, and holds master’s degrees in mathematics and economics from Illinois State University.

Truman came to AAIS in 2012 from Red Door Interactive, a firm that specializes in strategy and development of marketing communications campaigns and solutions across digital and traditional media.
Truman served as managing director and director of quality and continuous improvement at Red Door, after that firm acquired Breckenridge Communications, an applications development company Esmond founded and led for 12 years.

Kelly is the principal contact for most
AAIS member companies regarding new affiliations, changes to existing
affiliations, and selections of services.
Before coming to AAIS in March 2011,
Kelly worked as a supply chain analyst for Avnet, a computer product
distributor based in Phoenix. Before that, she worked as marketing
segment specialist for Lucent Technologies in Naperville, Ill. Kelly
earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Illinois,

Jeremy came to AAIS from ICAT, where he developed rating algorithms and maintained rating and rules for ICAT’s web portal business. Before working at ICAT, Teiber worked as a product analyst for Unitrin Direct.
Jeremy has degrees in biochemistry and marketing from Fort Lewis College, Durango, Col. He is based in Erie, Col.
