Manager, Digital Content

The Manager, Digital Content position is responsible for the development, management, and distribution of AAIS digital content for our Member Companies and internal departments. This position is a technical position that must be capable of assessing the technology used and its effectiveness for digital content and document management. At AAIS, documents are fundamental to the work we deliver internally and externally.

  • Develop a strategy for digital content at AAIS that supports business objectives, including efficient content reuse, compliance (e.g., readability, regulatory standards, data governance), shortened production times, increased content development, and omni-channel delivery (SERFF, AAISdirect, etc.).
  • Collaborate with product owners, product staff, attorneys, corporate staff, and technical staff to identify the most effective way to enable document management in AAIS processes.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to implement solutions and leads AAIS through change management process.
  • Establish policies, procedures, processes, technologies, and tools used to support:
    • Document management
    • Component-based document development
    • Integration of Artificial Intelligence
    • Document and product configuration for distribution
  • Integrate with data architecture for movement of documents through systems.
  • Identify technical requirements for document management including development and capture, storage, and distribution of documents.
  • In concert with product owners and business experts, assess the needs of our Member Companies related to the use and delivery of digital documents.
  • Audit digital content to ensure it aligns with AAIS standards.
  • Manage small team of technical digital content staff


Bachelors degree in information technology or similar with an emphasis on document controls, or publishing with an emphasis on digital content.

Minimum of 5 years experience in document and digital content management in a business, law or insurance industry.

Minimum of 5 years in the insurance industry

  • Able to work collaboratively with all departments to achieve digital management goals.
  • Able to identify and assess technology applications, their use and ability to deliver the requirements for digital and document management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills from problem definition to solution.
  • Analytical and technical skills.
  • Understanding of document management including versioning and metadata
