Florida Provides FAQ Document Related to Hurricane Ian Emergency Order
On September 28, 2022, the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR) issued an Emergency Order and a required daily data call related to Hurricane Ian. Please see the AAIS Compliance Alert issued on September 29, 2022 for further information about these actions.
The OIR has now released a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document for the Hurricane Ian Emergency Order to assist insurers in applying the provisions outlined within the Order.
The OIR has also made the aggregated claims data from its daily data call publicly available on the OIR's Hurricane Ian webpage. Insurers are to report data to the OIR daily through October 7, 2022. The aggregated data currently available includes data as of October 5, 2022.
