Illinois Department of Insurance Issues Company Bulletin 2021-12 Clarifying Submission Dates for Homeowners Dog-Related Claims Data

 

On November 10, 2021, the Illinois Department of Insurance issued Company Bulletin 2021-12 (link below), which clarifies the dates by which homeowners insurers must submit data on dog-related claims that they are required to collect for two years. The bulletin is effective November 10, 2021.

The data must be submitted to DOI.MarketConduct@illinois.gov as follows:

Due on July 1, 2023 will be data collected for calendar year 2022.

Due on July 1, 2024 will be data collected for calendar year 2023.

The data must be provided in a specific template that can be found in Company Bulletin 2021-12-Template (link below).
