Dan Kovac is a 30-year insurance industry veteran and serves as the Chief Risk Officer for Hiscox U.S. where he leads several departments including risk, compliance, legal, and regulatory filings. Prior to Hiscox, Dan worked in leadership roles at USAA, General Casualty Insurance, and MetLife Auto & Home across a range of functions including Risk Management, Underwriting, Product Management, and Innovation.

Dan serves as the President of the Hiscox U.S. Foundation which supports employee volunteerism, community giving and generously responds to natural disasters with grants and matching funds.  

Dan has a BA from Valparaiso University in Indiana and holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Research and Planning (ARP) designations through The Institutes.
