Speed to Market (S2M) Toolkit

One of the biggest roadblocks our Member companies express is the ability to adopt new or updated products easily and efficiently on their policy administration system (PAS) or rating engine (RE).

The AAIS Speed to Market (S2M) Toolkit aims to remove this roadblock through tools designed to simplify implementation of manual rules and rating information into a company’s PAS or RE.

The S2M Toolkit provides components in formats that can be easily digested and utilized by Member companies and are an integrated complement to complete and compliant AAIS manuals, forms, endorsements, and rating information.

Together with AAIS Onboarding services, the S2M Toolkit helps alleviate the stress of implementing and migrating products across current and new jurisdictions.

What's in the Toolkit?

The S2M Toolkit currently offers four robust tools: Product Models, Rating & Data Tables, Rating Examples, and Test Cases.

Product Models

S2M Product Models provide Member companies with a visual representation and conceptual model of AAIS insurance products, including pertinent details regarding forms, endorsements, and rules. 

Currently provided as S2M Mind Maps, they support product understanding and implementation efforts while helping accelerate product development and create one source of product metadata.

Rating & Data Tables

S2M Rating & Data Tables provide access to AAIS factors and relativities, loss costs, and territorial definitions from multistate and state manual pages. 

Delivered in a digital, consumable format, they help Member companies access product reference data more efficiently while saving time and supporting implementation of new or updated products on a Speed to Market basis.

Rating Examples

S2M Rating Examples provide an overview of premium calculations using sample rating information. 

With current, accurate countrywide and state-specific examples, they offer step-by-step guidance for both basic and optional premium calculations to support product understanding and rating accuracy.

Test Cases

S2M Test Cases provide a validation tool when an AAIS product has been developed and implemented on a PAS or RE.

By including selected sample inputs and expected outputs, they help streamline implementation testing, support validation efforts, and improve overall quality assurance.

capabilities designed to help increase speed-to-market for our Members.

AAIS S2M Tools are provided through AAIS Onboarding services. Our Onboarding team will develop a Statement of Work (SOW) and verify that the requested materials are final and acceptable for distribution.
